WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL) and Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT), along with Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) and Congressman Joaquin Castro (D-TX), introduced the Caribbean Arms Trafficking Causes Harm (CATCH) Act, legislation that would help curb illicit arms trafficking from the United States to the Caribbean.

Gangs have taken over the country and threatened to start a civil war, leaving Haitians confined to their homes without access to food and water. Kidnapping and sexual violence is a common occurrence for those who venture outside their homes. In short, gang violence has caused life in Haiti to be unbearable.

TAMARAC, FL - The University of Florida’s decision to eliminate DEI Programs jeopardizes the significant progress made in hiring practices and diversity initiatives. Given the University’s receipt of federal funds, there is an urgent need to evaluate its practices and policies for any potential civil rights violations.

Corey Health Care System of West Palm Beach.” This legislation will change the name of the VA hospital to honor the life of Thomas H.
