Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick Statement Following the House Passage of the National Security Supplemental

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick issued the following statement on the House passage of the national security supplemental.

“Today, I voted in favor of the bipartisan national security supplemental to send aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. I am also pleased that this package includes humanitarian assistance to people in Haiti, Gaza, and Sudan.   

On an overwhelming basis, the House of Representatives has demonstrated that the United States will always stand with its allies against tyranny. As the threat to our democratic allies grows, I am glad to join my colleagues in a bipartisan rebuke of MAGA extremists. Let this vote send a message to the world: we Americans show up for our allies.”
