Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick Applauds FDA Warning Letters to Disposable E-Cigarette Manufacturers

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Today, U.S. Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick issued the following statement applauding the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) issuance of warning letters to firms responsible for flavored, disposable e-cigarette products:
“I applaud this recent action by the FDA, which underscores the sense of urgency surrounding America’s vaping epidemic. The manufacturers behind these dangerous, toxic products must be held firmly accountable. I urge the FDA to use the complete scope of its enforcement authority to clamp down on the sale of e-cigarettes and keep our nation’s children safe. My bipartisan legislation, the Disposable ENDS Product Enforcement Act of 2023, aims to combat this ever-worsening crisis.”
